So I was really into it when it was coming out, but a lot of that was because of the excitement and enthusiasm of its fandom. A lot of people were really fucking fond of it. I reread it the other day (which doesn't take long) and really enjoyed myself-- the characters are, as the other anon said, endearing and the art, especially the was she represents magic stuff, is refreshingly dynamic and different from what I was used to seeing.
I wouldn't let its unfinished status be the thing that keeps you from reading it, since the plot was never really why people read it. You won't be totally dying to know what happens next. And if you are-- there's a fuckload of fanfiction.
