'Fuck' and 'hell' are overused like 'said' is overused. And it's not a sign of good writing to replace every instance of 'said' with 'interjected'/'exclaimed'/'queried'/'noted'/what you will.
Using 'what the expletive' instead of actual expletives isn't too grating, I suppose, but only if you stick the dismount and spell it right.
