Any 3D artists out there? Some critique would be fucking awesome.
Just curious, have you tried /3/ back on 4chan?
>>30804I'm not OP, but to be fair most of the time /3/ seems more concerned about bitching about which program's better instead of actually making stuff.
>>30806Indeed.It was nice when it first began, but they hardly actually DO anything anymore. Too preoccupied acting like /v/
>>30806>>30812The overall atmosphere could be easily attributed to the excessive trolling since the board's [re]conception, and considering it's 4chan, faggotry's a given. That doesn't invalidate your concerns thoughAs for some crtique, it looks like that guy can impale folks with his hair AND feet. But sarcasm aside, it looks neat, my only concerns are how the feet look and how sloppy the texture map looks, though that can probably be overlooked since you're probably new to 3D. I'm also wondering how the lad would actually move if animated.
>>30822I've recently discovered that since I didn't add extra borders around the joints, that most movements woulld distort the model too much. And you're right about the texture map. Turns out I did double the work necessary.
MONDRIAN!
>>31329Animated by the way.Probably should have mentioned that...
Aahha, that's pretty clever. Although you might want to put a pause right when it change perspective looping. Let it sink in a little. I do a little bit 3D, mainly on blender, though I am not sure I am good enough to give crtique on that front. >.>
>>31356But really, there are an endless number of perspectives when looking at something like this. Pausing each time would be...well, difficult, to say the least.Slowing it down a touch would be nice, though.
Hurrrrr I'm a controlldurrrrrr
>>32687I'll never get over how odd the N64 controller always looked
>>32696>I'll never get over how FUCK YEAH the N64 controller always lookedfixed.
>I'll never get over how odd it is that we never got that Robotech flight sim for the N64, which was about all we thought analogue sticks were good for back then.
>>32710
>>32712THIS.For years I waited for that game, and it never came. I waited, but it never. Came.
Hands are tricky.
>>33502 But they make EXCELENT turkeys.
>>33504Ever have one of those days where you know you can do anything?I'm so there.
Might not be the best thing to fiddle around with, but.......http://www.sculptris.com/
>>33547Wow.This is the most intuitive modeling program I've ever used.Though mind you I haven't used much...Still, it's pretty awesome. And free.
>>33547Holy shit, this program is awesome.
>>33609It's like clay.
I actually finished this one a week ago. That blue thing is the glove/hand thing I did earlier. I had to incorporate it into the scene somehow.
>>33928Detail shot.
>>33928>>33929Pretty decent
It's ok I guess, very low poly. Like, mobile phone game low poly, at this point. What´s it for?
>>33947Just an exercise. Just for the fun of it.
Having trouble with lights and shadows.Have to work on that.
Textures~
And now for something an iota more interesting.
>>34770Justin? Is that you?
And now for the rigging.
May as well put my 2D art here as well.Enjoy fan works under a tired mind.

Still got a few more things I want to do with it, but it works well enough for the final. On a side note, next semester I get to learn more complex lighting and textures!
