So yeah tea is the best thing in the world. Today I cracked open a bag of Russian caravan tea, and HOLY SHIT is it good. Why did I not come to this sooner?

I'm just happy with store brand or Lipton black tea and a little bit of sugar.

I always keep a handful of Twinings Earl Grey in my bag for tea on the go. I've tried to take my loose tea kit around with me, but it just takes too much room in my bag.

And yeah, it's not great, but it's still better than most bagged teas.

The Harrod's Earl grey was very good though.

New England Breakfast Blend coffee for me, but I'll take some green tea with lemon and honey or some down-south style sweet tea any time it's offered.

I saw a really nice tea shop on my way back from buying hairdye and pokemon.

And to be perfectly honest, I was the one that caused the original taste to storm into you again, if I had not done it, then giving all these new tastes would not have been as nourishing, I break then I make stronger.

Genmaicha (especially the heavier Japanese) is a fantastic tea. It's one of those almost savoury greens, and can be a little salty to those not used to it. The toasted rice really adds to the flavour, I think, and you get the strangest undertone of popcorn as a result.

Or, for those who enjoy more exotic and bloody difficult to find teas, look for Kawakawa with ginger and lemongrass. It's a bitch to find outside of New Zealand (being a traditional Maori herb that's not really found anywhere else on earth), but it takes a bit of honey or sugar beautifully. It's one of the only herbals I can drink, because it actually has flavour instead of just stinking to high heaven of whatever the fuck is being used to fill space.

Yeah, they're both looseleaf, but a tea strainer will set you back less than 50 pence and they're totally worth it.

Boil your tea's water separately. In a dry teapot add:

1 cinnamon stick
A splash of vanilla extra
Just a tiny, tiny bit of cayenne pepper. Too much can over power the taste and you can always add more if you want to.
A slice of fresh ginger

Pour in the water and chai tea leaves and let steep. Mix with milk and honey.
