The main proble with >>144143 is that it totally misses the reason for rule34. When you search for Mrs Pacman rule34 you are not looking for a women with big tits with yellow skin. Independent of your personal tastes when you search for rule34 of a character you want to find porn of that character and not some generic hot girl with the character color schemes.

That picture present just generic porn comic women, change details like the color scheme and they won't be recognized as PPGs anymore. With small changes you could say that they were those spy girls from that fake anime cartoon or Teen Titans girls because the deign doesn't connect with the original cartoon character.

Wagner is a good example of an artist that can modify a character without losing its identity. Even if he adds big tits and muscles you still recognize the character.

By the way, teen PG look like this, and it is uncanny!

Not to get off subject, yeah Wagner makes his characters recognizable, and sometimes artists do just draw a generic character, give them a hairstyle that resembles the character, and then calls them that character, but without a name or other elements you'd have no idea.

As for Wagner, he can draw well from a technical standpoint, but the way he stylizes is, in my honest opinion, not the most appealing for erotic art.

I don't think his style is bad, it is just that the minimalistic PPG style looks weird with his detailed colouring and genitals. If he made the characters a bit more detailed or the coloring flater and the genitals simpler I think it wouldn't look that weird.
