Seeing her go bad was a twist, but in hindsight one that made sense given her whole history. Now she can be a new nemesis for the Cooper Gang (since Clockwerk was finished permanently) of the current generation.

The only shame is that it seems Thieves in Time didn't sell well (and Sony never even bothered to advertise the game on TV). You would think that a series as underrated as Sly Cooper would get all the help it could get since its not like Ratchet and Clank which doesn't need as much aid in selling.

Its funny how if you listen to Fox's dialogue you can tell that even he feels "out of place" like when the magic talk happens he makes facial expressions that scream "This isn't what I'm used to doing."

No matter how you slice it, Nintendo's orders ruined a potential new IP and permanently smeared the reputation of the Starfox series which at the time was spotless. Same goes to Metroid with Other M.

Nintendo has a fetish, we call it the Ruination Fetish. Anything that isn't Mario and Zelda will be crushed, scarred, and dismissed by Nintendo. Its a miracle Kirby has done as well as he has in terms of maintaining itself relatively unscathed.

And there's no grounds for comparing Dinosaur Planet (Nintendo shoehorning an established franchise into a new game that has nothing in common with it) to Other M (Nintendo handing development of the game over to another studio who took characterization in a bad direction), other than the fact that they're both bad games in Nintendo franchises. The Dinosaur Planet fiasco happened because they like money and all-too-often fuck shit up in their pursuit of more money. They thought they could get it to sell more by shoving in Fox. They were probably right in the short term, but that hurt the property overall, because it just wasn't a good fit. People came in expecting something else, and the brand took a blow, while Rare lost the chance to develop a new property... but sure, in the short term it probably sold more than it would've.

Other M was Sakamoto believing he could do no wrong and proving that he totally could. Incredibly bad story and not thinking through the game mechanics' impact on the plot.

The important thing is they wanted Fox to have a girlfriend to prevent gay shipping.

Thing about the gay shipping within the Starfox community is how centered it is on Wolf. Now IMO rival characters after a while need to be disposed of. I really would have preferred for Wolf to have permanently died in a game going out in a blaze of villainous glory. I don't find it believable for him to be a reluctant ally or even buddy buddy in Assault and Command.

He served his role well, but after a while its time to let wolf go. Even Gary Oak disappeared from Pokemon after he slowly served his purpose and was surpassed by Ash. Wolf has been repeatedly handed his ass in combat by Fox, so enough is enough. The last thing we want is another Shadow the Hedgehog on our hands (there's another one who gay shipping is concentrated on).

That said, I don't mind Krystal. I just wish the games she appeared in were simply better than what we got.
