I figured I may as well start a new thread for the new season even if the old one wasn't full yet.While all the advertisement says the new season starts a week from today, if the schedule on Cartoon Network's website and my DVR is too be trusted the actual first episode is airing tonight at 8:30 PM Pacific time.

I really can't say I care too much about Gumball. The show itself is very mediocre, but the hiatuses.....my god. The hiatuses that this show has endured has murdered my interest for it just like Young Justice.

I like Gumball for the sheer fact that it's all of the creator's unused advertising mascots getting to live a second life, as it were. Anyone who has ever written or drawn a character that never ends up getting used can relate.

The Comedy for Animators blog gave a really glowing recommendation for Gumball, believing it to be the best show since Ren & Stimpy. While I enjoy Adventure Time and Regular Show, the humor for both shows rely heavily on conversations, giving little room for any funny images or anything that can be considered "cartoony". I can't think of any other show on Cartoon Network that fully embraces itself as a cartoon and just let loose besides Gumball.
